Let's face it, technology these days have changed. The world we live in is continuously introducing us to more advanced, more powerful technology, and we're being introduced to the newer, more advanced and more powerful technology on a daily basis.

Some of us get excited when something new comes along, and immediately we go out to invest. And there's still the majority that shake their heads and prefer not to change with the world. This piece of writing is for the ones who get excited about all the changes, because what follows is a list of some of the latest trends in consumer electronics.

Remember the days when a watch showed you the time of day? Well now a watch does more than just show you what time it is, the Sony Ericsson MBW-100 Bluetooth Watch will show you who's calling on your cell phone. The fashionable OLED display -- located under the watch's face -- will display the name of the person calling you on your cell phone. Not only can you see who's calling, but the watch also alerts you to new text messages.

The above are only a few of the many features the Bluetooth Watch offers. Some of the other features include water resistance (up to 30m), a music player, out-of-range warning and more. Oh yes, the watch will still show you the time of day.

For all you wine lovers out there, Japan has come up with a robot that recognizes several wines, cheeses and hor d'oeuvres. The robot can name the brand of wine and it will also recommend foods that go well with the wine. Guardian Unlimited (http://www.guardian.co.uk/japan/story/0,,1864338,00.html) will tell you more about this unique robot and how it works.

Do you work midnight shifts, get sleepy when driving long distances, or do you drive during the night hours? The Drive Alert Master can help. This latest gadget attaches to your ear, and it will alert you when you start to doze off behind the wheel. The Drive Master Alert is said to be a comfortable fit, and they say you will still be able to hear the traffic outside your vehicle.

The Drive Master Alert would make a wonderful gift for any loved one. Not only does it make a good gift, but it can give you peace of mind that your loved one is safe too. For a small investment of $14.99 you can own yours today. Available from Smart Home (http://www.smarthome.com/92794.html).

Recall the expression "feel the music?" With Sonic Bed you can "feel the music" -- literally. Electra custom-built this unique "Sonic Bed," and the first one was seen at the Xuhui Art Museum in April 2006. Sonic Bed_London (http://www.musicforbodies.net/wiki/SonicBedLondon) will tell you how it was made and how it works.

Do you sit at your computer for several hours? Yep, I'm guilty of this too since my career involves sitting at the computer. Well, guess what? Now they have come up with an invention that allows all us "computer geeks" to stay healthy while we surf the World Wide Web.

Geek-a-Cycle (http://www.slimgeek.com/index.html) is suppose to reduce our chances of blood clots, improve our blood flow, increase oxygen to all parts of our body and give our heart and lungs a workout too. This device replaces the common office chair. So, instead of sitting while we surf, we could exercise while we surf instead. Okay, this one isn't exactly an electronic, but it can be used while you're operating an electronic.

Photographer Scott Aichner built a 270 degree camera in 2005. He said he had been "dreaming up" this camera for four years, and he calls it "the 270 project." Aichner describes his project as having two fisheye lens that face 90 degrees from each other, and he states it covers 270 degrees. "Getting the housing build was a huge obstacle," said Aichner.

Aichner's Web site (http://www.scottaichner.com/270Project.htm) tells more about his "270 project" and displays photos he has taken with the camera.

Skateboards have gone from manual to electric. Crossbow USA, Inc is the manufacturer of E-Glide Powerboards (a.k.a., Electric Skateboards). The E-Glide Powerboards range in price from $419 up to over $500.

These are only a few of the many other electronic trends out there, but I've tried to cover some of the useful, unique and even one or two weird electronic trends. Just do a quick search on the Internet for "latest electronic trends" and you may be surprised with what you'll discover.
